Rohit said that I hope you
have seen the auction. Many new players have come to the team. 70 or 80 percent
of the team's players have not played in Mumbai before.
Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma on Wednesday said that his team will not get the added benefit of playing IPL matches at three grounds in Mumbai. He told that there are many players in the team who have not played a match here in the last two years.
Rohit said that I hope you
have seen the auction. Many new players have come to the team. 70 or 80 percent
of the team's players have not played in Mumbai before. So there is no such
thing as an added advantage. He said that only I, Surya Kumar, Pollard, IshanKishan, Jasprit Bumrah have played many matches in Mumbai. Other players don't
have experience playing here.
After
getting approval from NCA, now Surya is going to join the team.
Rohit said that batsman
Suryakumar Yadav is still at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru
and will join the team only after getting clearance from there. Surya's
progress is good. He will be here soon. I can't tell right now whether he will
be available for the first match or not but we are trying to get him to join
the team as soon as possible.
Would
be welcome to get two DRS
Rohit said that getting
two DRS in every innings in IPL is good for the team. This is a good
opportunity to put pressure on the opposition team. The advantage of having two
DRS is that sometimes mistakes are made in the game and due to the absence of
DRS, the batter has to be out. At the same time, after the batsman is out, the
new player will face the bowler, this rule is also good. This will give the
bowler a chance to take wickets.
